Thankful Thursday 13
It's been a long time since I did a thanks post, and it doesn't mean I'm not thankful...it just means I've been busy. Today I am thankful for:
1) Generosity in hard times
2) An amazing neice who sends cute little notes to us in the mail
3) Easter Candy

CAUTION! A Picture Montage of Paul Bunion
Thank you for following my story of Paul Bunion for the last 3/4 of a year. This is my story of Paul Bunion as shown in pictures...some of them are graphic (just to warn you).
Then there was a surgery(July 2, 2009):

Then there was a large bandage, crutches and a medical boot (and getting over the antiseptic which really tore me up):

All of the bandages are gone now and the scar is healed (though still very obvious). I am beginning to be able to lie on my right side again after almost 10 months of not. It is still very sore if it get's hit and my little toe is still not quite right, but I think it's about as good as it's gonna get. Thanks for sharing my journey!

Then there was a large bandage, crutches and a medical boot (and getting over the antiseptic which really tore me up):
And I was drugged out of my mind for about over week (and then mildly drugged for another few weeks):

Next the stitches came out (my foot looks weirdly flat on the outside now) and the wound was covered with a big bandage that meant I still had to keep it out of the shower:

About a month later the big bandage came off (woo hoo for real showers once again):

While healing rather well, I then ran into a shopping cart and injured other parts of my foot:

Thanks for sharing this journey with me. I'm glad to be mostly better!

Thankful Thursday 12
I realize that it is Friday, but I'm going to go ahead with it, today I am thankful for:
1) New experiences - like walking into a National Football stadium for the first time and watching an NFL game live.
2) God - I know that seems like a strange one, but I can't imagine what life would look like without that peace and hope and joy that comes from knowing God is.
3) Heat - as in electricity at home, because there are so many without and it is bitter out.
Thank you God, you have blessed me in so many ways.

Monumental: Turning 30....
Moments in life that are monumental:
245) Turning 30
Sunday I had my 30th birthday, my husband likes to tell me that on January first I will be entering my 5th decade of life (I was born in the 70's!). I feel strange and I don't really like it. There is something I don't like about not being in my twenties. It could be because I don't like change and this is a big one. It could be because of the stipulations that come with being in your 30's and not your 20's. It could be because thirties seems so old. Sunday night I couldn't get to sleep thinking about how different it feels to be 30. Sigh*

Monumental: We bought a house...
Moments in life that are monumental:
157) Buying a house
Brett and I have just gone through the arduous process of buying a house. It was worth it. It's beautiful. I can't wait to share it with you so give us a call, we'd love to have you over.
